Description
Backegårdsskolan and Solbackeskolan are located in Bergsjön and form a joint school area – Nordost 2. Here you will meet a welcoming atmosphere, curious students, and strong collegial collaboration!
Backegårdsskolan is a school for grades F-6 with two classes in each grade. Solbackeskolan has one class in each grade F-6 as well as a special needs school. In total, there are approximately 500 students at our schools, and we have about 90 employees, 45 at each school.
The schools are located in a multicultural area, and the majority of our students have a mother tongue other than Swedish. Our goal is therefore to work with language-developing methods in all subjects.
Job Responsibilities
We are now looking for a craft teacher who wants to be responsible for textile crafts at both of our schools. As the schedule looks for the upcoming school year, the position will be distributed over three days at Backegårdsskolan and two days at Solbackeskolan. The schools are located about 1 km from each other.
You will teach student groups of 8-10 students in grades 3-6, including students from the special needs school. When students from the special needs school participate, there is also a resource teacher present, meaning there will be two adults in the classroom. We see this as a great asset for all our students!
Your colleague who is responsible for wood and metal crafts has worked at both schools for a few years, and here you are offered close collaboration to develop crafts together at our schools. There are well-equipped craft rooms for the different craft subjects at both schools. Additionally, there is an opportunity to open up between the rooms to facilitate collaboration between the craft subjects.
We would like you to contribute to our joint school work based on your previous experience and interests. At both schools, work is ongoing with active recesses, language-developing initiatives, and relationship-building work, to name a few examples.
You will belong to one of the schools for conferences, APT (Annual Performance and Development Talks), and similar meetings.
Qualifications
Requirements:
We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in crafts for grades 3-6. You have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
Merits:
We would appreciate it if you have experience working with language-developing and inclusive methods, as well as Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC).
Personal Competencies:
We are looking for you who see opportunities rather than obstacles. You are confident in your role and skilled at building relationships. Since we work closely together, we value your ability to collaborate and your willingness to contribute to the "we-feeling" at the schools. Furthermore, you have good pedagogical ability to adapt teaching to meet the students' needs.
At our schools, all students should naturally have the opportunity to develop good knowledge but also develop socially. We believe that values-based work, relationship-building work, and a good attitude are important. We would like you to tell us what values-based work and good treatment mean to you!
Welcome with your application!
We welcome both experienced teachers and newly graduated teachers to apply for the position. To ensure that newly graduated teachers get the best possible start in their profession, you will participate in the Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction for newly graduated teachers. The introduction gives you, as a newly graduated teacher, a network with other newly graduated teachers and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.
Other
In this recruitment, we will not request a cover letter as an application document. Instead, you as the applicant will answer a number of questions where we ask you to describe your competence in the requested area.
As an employee in our administration, you are offered among other things a wellness allowance, a bike benefit, and employee support.
According to the Education Act, extracts from the police record must be presented by individuals before they are employed in preschool activities, school, and school-age childcare. You order this on the Police's website.
In connection with this recruitment, we have taken a stand on recruitment channels and therefore decline further offers of competence mediation, advertising, and recruitment assistance.
We only accept applications via our recruitment system in accordance with GDPR.
