Welcome to Stockholm City's own schools! We are over 300 engaged and curious employees who make a difference for our students every day. Every year, we offer high-quality education to the citizens of Stockholm. Our schools are located in Järva, Skärholmen, Liljeholmen, and Södermalm, comprising a total of ten units.

Komvux Kista offers Stockholmers a place where several parts of adult education are gathered, such as Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), basic adult education, study and career guidance, and support functions. Your role

The position will be located at Komvux Kista, which offers SFI level 2 and 3, basic courses in Swedish as a second language, English, and mathematics, as well as an upcoming combined education program for Support Assistants. We also collaborate with the city's departments and offer commissioned training. The work involves daily contact with both students and teachers.

This position also includes evening work and a significant portion of student administration.

Your tasks, in addition to the above, include among other things:

• Guiding students through individual counseling sessions and group guidance.
• Informing about admission and eligibility rules, professions, labor market, and study economics, both orally and in writing.
• Actively participating in the school unit's support team based on your competence.
• Planning content and participating in intake, course start, and introduction.
• Planning and participating in open houses and fairs.

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who have:

• a degree in study and career guidance
• several years of experience working as a study and career counselor within adult education
• experience working in teams with other study and career counselors
• good knowledge of English and good digital skills
• good knowledge of adult education regulations as well as relevant laws and ordinances, including GY25 and other relevant steering documents

It is meritorious if you have:

• experience working in an interdisciplinary group around student health work
• experience working with student administration

You have the ability and willingness to develop work methods based on the target group's needs. As a person, you are goal- and result-oriented and structured. You are flexible, creative, development-oriented, and have very good collaboration skills. You are engaged in adult learning and have a clear salutogenic perspective. We place great importance on personal suitability.
