Welcome to us

Bandhagen School is now looking for a substitute special educator or special teacher who wants to help develop our school. Bandhagen School is located in a nature-friendly area, within walking distance of the subway stations Bandhagen and Högdalen. The school has approximately 460 students and about 100 employees. We welcome students from preschool class to grade 6 in regular school. We also welcome students from grade 1 to grade 6 in adapted primary school, as well as preschool class students who are being prepared for adapted primary school. We have after-school centers for grades F–3 in regular school and F–6 in adapted primary school, and we offer an after-school club for grades 4–6 in regular school. The school has its own kitchen.

Your role

As a special educator/special teacher, you are part of the school's Student Health Team. Your assignment includes developing the school's promoting and preventive Student Health work together with other professions in the Student Health Team. Your area of responsibility will be our adapted primary school and the school's special education groups, where you, together with the deputy principals and the other professions in the Student Health Team, collaborate with teaching teams regarding students who need the most support. The assignment includes supervising staff, providing some special instruction, maintaining contact and working with students and guardians, as well as being responsible for pedagogical documentation.

Your qualifications and experience

You should:

• have a teaching license with eligibility to teach in grades F-6
• have a degree in special education or be a certified special teacher
• have good knowledge of developmental neurological disabilities (ADHD, autism, speech disorders, etc.)
• have good knowledge of documentation regarding students with special needs
• be able to express yourself well in speech and writing
• be able to use various digital tools in your work
• have good collaboration skills with both colleagues and students and guardians
• find development enriching and want to participate in developing the operations

It is meritorious if you have experience working as a special educator/special teacher, and if you have experience working with adapted primary school and special education groups.
