Teacher in Textile Crafts to Vittra Jakobsberg - Grades 3-9

Your Assignment

We offer a permanent position at 100% with teaching in Textile Crafts. You will teach in grades 3-9, and the position also includes mentorship in grade 7. You belong to the lower secondary school's work team and participate in work team meetings and collegial pedagogical meetings.

Your Profile

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher and qualified in Crafts for grades 3-9. It is meritorious if you have experience teaching in a relatively socioeconomically disadvantaged area with a diverse student body.

As a teacher at Vittra, you help shape conscious children and students by giving them the right tools and knowledge to create a more sustainable society. To be able to do this, you need the right personal qualities:

You are unpretentious (for real). At us, the team comes before the individual, and the focus in all our decisions is based on the students' best interests. You have the ability to turn experiences into insight and do not let personal matters get in the way of work at the school. You have situational leadership skills and are prepared for the fact that school is a event-driven operation where no day is like another. We have up to 500 children and students, who together with 70 adults must cooperate daily in many different contexts. This means that different types of situations arise in classrooms and in hallways, just as in any other school. Then you need to be secure in that and above all be able to handle it with calmness and wisdom.

You create trusting relationships with both students and parents as well as colleagues.

You are skilled at teaching, or on your way to becoming so. It does not matter if you are already an experienced teacher in the classroom or a future star. The important thing is that you have drive, curiosity, and a desire to constantly develop in your role. You have an interest and engagement in your teaching that inspires and motivates students to want to learn. You have the ability to meet students individually.

The position is a permanent employment starting from August 11, 2026. We apply a six-month probation period.
