Welcome to us

Askebyskolan is a preschool class to year 6 school with approximately 350 students, including adapted primary school (approx. 35 students), a local special education group (preschool class to year 3), and approx. 70 staff members. The school is located in Rinkeby and has functional premises about 5 minutes from the subway. The school is in a development phase where the focus is on a language-developing working method, leadership and stimulation, as well as aesthetic learning processes. Our common holistic idea is aesthetic learning processes, and we have a strong belief in the importance of aesthetics for deep knowledge and whole persons – the student's access to all languages and modes of expression.

We are proud of our fine school and are now looking for certified teachers who wish to substitute. The positions are from August 10, 2026, to December 18, 2026. We are looking for teachers for year 1, 2, and 3.

Your role

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach in years 1–3.

You have the ability to design teaching in accordance with curricula, subject plans, and current knowledge requirements. You take responsibility for and have insight into the students' results and needs, and structure and adapt your teaching so that a safe and adequate learning environment is created. You involve the student in the planning and develop the student's ability to learn, both independently and together with others. You are part of a work team with two other teachers and three leisure time staff.

Your competence and experience

You have high expectations of the students' goal fulfillment, good pedagogical insight, and are clear and engaged to bring out the best in the students.

You who apply:

• are a certified teacher with qualification for years 1–3.

You are secure, stable, have self-insight, and are a clear leader in the classroom. You value and create good conditions for cooperation and create good relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. You plan, organize, prioritize, and analyze your lesson structure as well as other tasks included in your role in an effective way.
