We are currently seeking mother tongue teachers in Spanish, Bengali, Swahili, Assyrian, and Mandarin for Västerholm.

About the position

Your responsibilities include planning, implementing, and following up on mother tongue instruction based on current guidelines. Teaching usually takes place in smaller groups, and the scope varies depending on the student population and language. Classes are scheduled before or after the students' regular school day.

We are looking for someone who

We are looking for someone who has fluent command of the language you will be teaching, both spoken and written. You have a genuine interest in the learning process of children and young people and see the value in students developing their mother tongue.

We prefer that you have a teacher education or other pedagogical training. Previous teaching experience is required.

As a person, you are responsible, clear, and structured. You have a relational approach and work to build good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You are interested in creating engaging and educational lessons that spark students' curiosity and desire to learn.

You must have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
