Önneredsskolan is a F-9 school (preschool class to year 9) in western Gothenburg, located in a beautiful natural area with easy access to forests and the sea. Our proximity to nature allows us to offer students various environments to enhance learning. At Önneredsskolan, we work together to ensure that students develop as much as possible based on their abilities.

One of our teachers is leaving Gothenburg, and we are therefore looking for you who want to teach in one of our lower primary school classes.

Job Responsibilities

As a teacher at Önneredsskolan, you are passionate about teaching and guiding students towards set goals according to the current curriculum and syllabus. Your teaching is structured; you monitor student results and develop your teaching accordingly. This means challenging those who need it while also supporting students who require special assistance. To give you, as a newly graduated teacher, the best possible start in your career, you will participate in the Primary School Administration's Teacher Academy introduction program for new graduates. This introduction provides you with a network of other new graduates and targeted activities during your first year as a teacher.

Qualifications

Formal Competencies:

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the eligibility to teach in preschool class and primary school years 1-3. You are well-versed in the curriculum and other regulatory documents and have good knowledge of planning student work in connection with these. You must speak and write Swedish fluently.

Personal Competencies:

As a person, you are sensitive and find it easy to collaborate with students, colleagues, and guardians. You are confident in your professional role, have clear leadership inside and outside the classroom, and show initiative and flexibility.

You are motivated by clearly defined goals and have the ability to translate them into concrete action. With a focus on the goal, you can reprioritize work when conditions or needs change. You monitor and report results and goal achievement.

You gain energy from contributing to others' learning and create conditions for learning to take place. You have the ability to explain problems and information to different audiences and from different perspectives. You encourage dialogue, participation, and engagement.

You build good relationships with students and guardians and are aware of your own impact on students' learning. You consider it natural to create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment.
