Description
At Hvitfeldtska Gymnasium, the future has been shaped since 1647. Do you want to be part of it? Hvitfeldtska Gymnasium is a prestigious school and a dynamic workplace with approximately 2,000 students and 220 employees. The school is centrally located in Gothenburg and offers an inspiring environment where historical traditions meet a modern and international educational context. We take great pride in running a knowledge-oriented operation with a high academic profile and a clear international character.
As an employee, you will become part of a professional community. We have close cooperation with both the business community and universities. The school is also distinguished by strong student engagement through Gothenburg's largest student union. We value a good working environment and have a long tradition of joint gatherings that strengthen the collegium throughout the school year.
We are looking for someone who wants to work in an environment with high expectations and contribute to our continued development. Please visit our website www.hvitfeldtska.se (http://www.hvitfeldtska.se) for more information about us.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a new teaching colleague for a fixed-term position at 20% during the school year 2026/27, teaching programming. You will teach on our national programs where the courses are included.
The position involves planning, implementing, and evaluating teaching, as well as continuously working with follow-up, feedback, and assessment to promote each student's learning. Depending on the final design of the position, mentorship or co-mentorship for a class may also be included, where you support and guide students in their knowledge and personal development. You will also actively participate in subject groups and the collaborative work of the working team.
Qualifications
We are looking for a confident classroom leader who meets students with high, positive expectations and has the right prerequisites to thrive and develop with us. You have teacher certification with eligibility for upper secondary school in programming (or another relevant technical/computer science subject), as well as experience teaching at the upper secondary level.
Since you teach programming and work in a modern educational environment, you have very good digital skills and consider it natural to use relevant development environments, digital tools, and teaching aids in your pedagogy. You have a good ability to adapt and differentiate your teaching so that students at different levels, from those who need extra support to those who need extra challenges, are encouraged in their learning. Furthermore, you have a developed ability to collaborate, enjoy working in teams, and are skilled at building good relationships with students, colleagues, and guardians alike.
Selection and interviews will take place continuously during the application period, so please submit your application as soon as possible.
We look forward to receiving your application!
Other Information
