The municipality is organized into an administration with four sectors. The Education Sector includes preschools and primary schools with associated school-age childcare, adapted primary schools, adapted upper secondary schools, adult education, as well as Culture and Leisure.

Stenungsund's primary schools work systematically to organize special support in line with our core ideas: Inclusion, Professional Leadership, and Positive Learning Identities. Part of this organization is our team, Flexible Special Support, which works with complementary measures across the entire primary school, supporting both students and staff, in close collaboration with teachers, principals, and student health teams.
We are now looking for you to join Flexible Special Support as our new special teacher. The team also includes a school psychologist, teachers, a special educator, and our school dog. Flexible Special Support is part of the Central Child and Student Health Services, making you a close colleague to school counselors, school nurses, school psychologists, study and career counselors, speech therapists, special educators with specialized competencies, the school social team, and school librarians.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Do you want to make a real difference in finding pathways to learning through close work with students, guardians, teachers, and other colleagues? Are you a special teacher seeking new challenges in a team-based role?
Our cross-professional team is looking for you, bringing positive energy and, like us, being attracted by the variety of tasks surrounding our students in need of special support. As a team and profession, the mission is to plan, operationally implement, follow up, and evaluate teaching and pathways to teaching for students, starting from the regular classroom in the municipality's primary schools. The work is carried out in close collaboration with the student's principal and teachers, special educator, and other student health services at the school.
Common tasks include leading and driving; teaching, supervision, and collaboration/cooperation with guardians and other important persons/actors regarding the student. Other tasks may include assisting with assessment and parts of investigations regarding special support in collaboration with teachers and the school's special educator. In addition to classrooms and school facilities, the work takes place based on needs and flexibility also in our hub, Doterödsvillan, the student's home, or outdoors. To maintain and develop specialized competence in designing inclusive special support, it is part of the role to stay updated on research in the field. Having active co-leadership in the team's and primary school's systematic quality work is a given.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a special teacher with a teaching license. Merits include subject competence in Swedish and English, qualifications for older age groups, and experience across a broad age span.

You need to have a driver's license and feel comfortable working in an environment where a school dog also works a few times a week.
