Job Description

As a School Administrator with us, you play a vital role in supporting students, guardians, staff, and school leadership in their daily work, acting as a key link in the operation. You are a key person for ensuring the day-to-day operations run smoothly within our organization; therefore, the tasks vary depending on the needs of the business. The position focuses primarily on school administration and finance, and you will work in close collaboration with colleagues and management while having significant individual responsibility and expected to work independently. You will also handle tasks such as recruiting substitutes, preparing documentation, working with grades, invoices, diary registration, receiving visitors, etc. You will work with generating student and grade statistics as well as system administration. You need to be familiar with various administrative systems. The person we are looking for is expected to contribute to the development of the administration's routines, which are continuously evolving.

Qualifications

You who apply have at least a completed upper secondary education, and we prefer that you have a university degree in administration, economics, or personnel, or experience that the employer considers equivalent. We are looking for you who have experience working in the education sector, and it is an advantage if you have experience working in school administration. We require that you have good experience working with one or more of our common IT systems such as H-rutan, Ekot (economy), Edlevo and Skola24 (grades and student registration), Platina (diary registration), Vikariebanken (substitute system), and Novaschem/Skola24 (scheduling). Knowledge of legislation affecting the operation and authority exercise within the school is also an advantage.

To succeed in the role of School Administrator, it is important that you are flexible, learn quickly, take responsibility, and are independent in your work. Good initiative and problem-solving skills are qualities we value. We are looking for a person who is meticulous and unpretentious. Furthermore, you see the big picture, consider the broader perspective, and keep the best interests of the entire operation in focus. You will meet many people in your daily life, so good cooperation skills and a service-oriented attitude are important. You can communicate and express yourself very well in both speech and writing in Swedish and have an easy time learning new systems.

About the Workplace

Bergaskolan is a school with all the facilities needed for a comprehensive school (grades 1-9). Here you will find a large, bright cafeteria, home economics classrooms, a special science building, and a library where students have access to knowledgeable staff, newspapers, magazines, as well as new and old fiction books and non-fiction books on various subjects. Bergaskolan has an auditorium with a stage and space for 150 people. We have all our sports activities at Limhamn Sports Hall. Bergaskolan is located in Limhamn, close to the city center, green areas, and the sea. Bergaskolan is a school with goal-oriented and study-motivated students, which is reflected in the good results they achieve. The school has a stable and knowledgeable teaching staff that knows the value of setting demands and having high expectations.
