Your role with us

As an economist with us, you will have a key role where you, together with engaged unit managers and operations managers within elderly care and disability support, work with budgets, follow-ups, and economic analyses that truly make a difference. You will have the opportunity to influence strategic decisions and contribute to the development of the operations through close collaboration with other support functions.

We actively work on creating solutions for staffing economics and building structures that link economics to schedules and customer needs. With us, you will participate in investigative and development work, help introduce a new decision-support system, and support managers in economic matters. You will also serve as the economist for exciting projects and state grants within the operational area – here there is room for both responsibility and innovative thinking!

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who have a degree with an economic focus from a university or college. We prefer that you have experience working as an economist with budgeting, follow-ups, and reporting. It is an advantage if you have experience from municipalities, regions, the public sector, or other politically governed operations.

You handle IT tools as a natural part of your work, and we want you to have very good skills in Excel. The work requires good knowledge of Swedish, as well as the ability to communicate economic issues both verbally and in writing. You have a pedagogical ability to hold presentations, walkthroughs, and training sessions, and to follow up on these, adapted to the needs of the target audience.

To succeed in the role, you need the ability to create and maintain good relationships, both internally and externally. You collaborate well with people in different contexts and functions. We want you to have the ability to carefully analyze and assess different types of data to draw well-thought-out conclusions and to create functioning solutions. You also have the ability to plan and organize your work and find it easy to set goals, as well as follow up and conclude activities. The Economics Unit of the Care Administration is located together at Östra Kommunhuset and is a tightly knit group of economists, economic administrators, fee handlers, and purchasing coordinators. Our common goal is to create conditions for good economic management and provide the best possible service to both customers and operations. And we should have fun at work!

The disability support operational area is broad and includes, among other things, housing, day activities, supported housing, children's activities, and escort services. This also includes the state-funded housing for the National Upper Secondary School for Deaf, Blind, and Hard of Hearing. With us, you will work in an environment where your competence is valued and where you have good opportunities to grow both professionally and personally.

The Care Administration's operations are directed towards the elderly and people who need disability support, as well as people who need home healthcare. The operations are functionally divided into four operational areas: support in ordinary housing, support in care and nursing homes, health and medical care, and disability support. The administration also includes the authority unit, the National Upper Secondary School, and the Assistive Technology Centre in Eastern Skåne.
