About the role

Academic Work is currently seeking an Economics Assistant for a consultancy assignment. You will be employed by Academic Work and work as a consultant at the client's company, becoming part of an engaged economics team. This assignment is ideal for those who wish to combine studies or other main activities with practical experience in economics. We are looking for someone who can work approximately 16 hours per week and has the possibility to increase working hours during summer and Christmas holidays.

As an Economics Assistant, you will have a responsible and varied role with the opportunity to develop your knowledge within the economic field. You will become part of a department where openness, holistic thinking, and decisiveness permeate daily work, and where collaboration and personal responsibility are highly valued.

Responsibilities

  • Booking of incoming and outgoing payments
  • Handling and checking reminders, debt collection, and court bailiff cases
  • Ordering invoices
  • Processing incoming invoices
  • Administering accounting orders
  • Handling and supporting incoming emails
  • Other economic-related tasks may be added as work progresses and you become more familiar with the role

We are looking for someone who

  • Is currently studying a post-secondary education in economics and has at least one year of studies left, or alternatively has another main activity covering at least 50%
  • Is proficient in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing
  • Has experience in an administrative role

It is an advantage if you have

  • Experience with the business system M3/Movex and Rillion, as well as previous experience with accounts receivable.

Additional information

  • Start: End of August/Beginning of September
  • Scope: Part-time, approx. 16 hours per week. Both full-day and half-day shifts work. We also expect you to be available to work during summer and Christmas holidays
  • Location: Malmö (you work on-site at their office in central Malmö)
