One of our employees is going on study leave, so the Economics Unit of the Leisure Department is looking for you who wants to take the chance and work with us on budgeting and follow-up. The intended temporary position is for 1 year.

Job Responsibilities

As a controller at the Leisure Department, you will support the department's managers in their budget work as well as issues related to follow-up, forecasts, and analyses. The work also includes producing economic analyses and supporting materials.

You will be responsible for monitoring our operations' budgets, interim reports, and annual closing work, as well as serving as a support to the managers in other matters concerning the department's economy. During the autumn, you will work on preparing the internal budget for 2027 together with the operations and register the budget in our economic system.

The department's ongoing reporting, such as bookkeeping, account reconciliation, supplier accounts, and customer accounts, is not handled by the department itself but by a shared accounting unit located at the Primary School Department.

The Economics Unit is a small unit, which means you will work closely with your manager and colleagues and help out where needed within the unit.

Qualifications

To be considered for the position, you need:

• A bachelor's degree with an economic focus (180 credits)
• At least two years of work experience in budgeting, follow-up, and annual closing
• Good knowledge of the Office package, especially Excel
• Good proficiency in the Swedish language, both written and spoken

We consider it an advantage if you:

• Have previously worked in a politically governed organization
• Have previously worked in the systems Raindance and Qlicksense

As a person, you have the ability to build good relationships and are good at collaborating with others. You have a consultative and coaching approach when working with the department's managers and can independently drive the processes you are working on. You are clear in your communication, have a structured work style, and can focus on details while maintaining a holistic perspective.

About the Workplace

Economics and Analysis Division

The Economics Unit is part of the department's Economics and Analysis Division. The Economics Unit is a small unit consisting of one unit manager and three budget economists. The unit manager is also the department's procurement coordinator and accounting responsible person.

The Economics and Analysis Division serves as an operational and strategic support to the department in matters concerning planning, goals, follow-up, forecasts, investigations, environmental analysis, and other analyses. Currently, eleven people work in the division within various competence areas such as economics, investigations, statistics, committee administration, environmental coordination, internal control, goal management, business development, and administrative law.
