Do you believe that culture can make a difference in people's lives? We do too. Every day, we work to make culture accessible to more people. We want to inspire people to discover new perspectives, experience and participate in our activities, or develop their own creativity.
We are now looking for an experienced communicator for a six-month fixed-term contract with a start date in September 2026.
About the workplace
Culture is a key driver in making Helsingborg the most attractive city. Here, an active and visible cultural policy is pursued based on the engagement of cultural institutions, independent cultural practitioners, and civil society. The department's public activities include Helsingborg Library, Helsingborg Museum, Helsingborg Cultural School, Helsingborg Art Hall, and Dunker's stages. Together, they are supported by shared staff functions for communication, administration, finance, and HR.
You will become part of the communications department and work closely with both colleagues and operations within the cultural administration. You will report to the Communications Manager.
Responsibilities
The assignment is broad and varied, with many contact points and significant independent responsibility. A large part of the work involves planning, producing, and publishing content for our social media channels, as well as planning and executing digital advertising in Meta Business Suite and Ads Manager.
You will coordinate content together with operations and editorial groups, provide communication support to projects and operations, and contribute to communication planning based on the operations' goals. You will take initiative and be responsible for planning, executing, and following up on the work. During the autumn, you will also become part of the work to translate the museum's operational plan into concrete communication efforts together with project managers and operational representatives.
The role also includes producing simpler communication materials in Canva or similar tools. Here, you will switch between planning and production and work both independently and together with engaged colleagues in several different operations.
What we offer
We offer you a varied, responsible, and stimulating job with opportunities for development, as well as engaged colleagues who are passionate about culture and societal development. We have offices at Consul Perssons Villa, located centrally by the city park, which provides good transport links. The workplace is smoke-free and health-conscious. As an employee, you receive an annual wellness allowance of 3,000 SEK.
Qualifications
We welcome applications from you if you:
- Have a university degree in communication or equivalent that we assess as comparable
- Have at least three years of experience working as a communicator.
- Have experience working with social media, Meta Business Suite, and Ads Manager
- Have experience planning, producing, and publishing content in digital channels
- Enjoy working with communication planning as well as implementing plans in practice
- Can write target-group adapted texts for different channels and senders
- Have experience with Canva or similar tools
Experience from public sector or cultural activities is an advantage.
As a person, you are structured, self-initiating, and have the ability to take initiative and drive your work forward. You are communicative and find it easy to collaborate with different operations and target groups. You thrive in a role with many contact points and have a solution-oriented approach.
Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
