The Swedish operations in Helsingborg are a business-close unit focusing on trading, analysis, and customer relations, where finance and business are closely intertwined.

About the role

K.A. Rasmussen operates on a global commodity market where prices change continuously, and the business largely involves managing risk through hedging and price protection. This means the role is not solely traditional controlling – it also requires:

• Understanding of business logic and margins
• Interest in currencies, commodities, and price movements
• Ability to analyze and contextualize financial flows

You will become a crucial link between numbers and business, with the opportunity to gradually develop your competence in this area. As a Controller, you will have a central role with responsibility for monitoring and analyzing operations in Sweden and Finland. You will work closely with the business in an environment where high inventory values and small margins demand control, analysis, and understanding of the business model.

Responsibilities

The role involves among other things:

• Business-oriented analysis and support to the organization
• Monitoring and reconciliation of inventory
• Preparation of monthly and annual financial statements
• Reporting of taxes and fees
• Dialogue with both local management and group functions

You report in a dotted line to the CFO in Hamar and work closely with a solid line to the Managing Director for Sweden and Finland. The role also has an international dimension, and some travel, primarily within the Nordics, may occur.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have a few years of experience in finance and want to take the next step in a more business-close role. You might have:

• Background in accounting or controlling
• Experience with closing processes
• A structured and meticulous work style
• An interest in understanding the business, not just the numbers

Experience from an international environment or interest in financial markets is an advantage, but not a requirement.
