Job Description

We are now looking for a music teacher for grades 3–9 to join Värner Rydénskolan!

We are looking for you who are a qualified teacher with the authorization to teach music. The position is a full-time role as a music teacher for grades 3–9 at Värner Rydénskolan. You will be responsible for planning and teaching, as well as assessing your students' acquired knowledge. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with your colleagues in an open and supportive environment where collegial exchange and learning are second nature. We have a well-equipped music room, and our current class sizes in music are 10–15 students per group. We also have El Sistema at the school three days a week, and they will be your colleagues and valuable partners in your teaching.

Your teaching is grounded in official documents and current research. You develop and drive your subject forward with high ambition for inclusive teaching for all students. Your teaching is also modern and creative, aiming to reach and find strategies to strengthen your students, both academically and in their personal development.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher with authorization to teach music for grades 3–9. Previous teaching experience is meritorious. We would like you to be accustomed to teaching students with multilingual backgrounds and have knowledge of language-developing teaching methods. As a music teacher, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and analyzing teaching with a focus on student goal achievement and official documents.

You should conduct modern and creative music teaching where you use various strategies to reach each student and promote their development. You see multiculturalism as a strength and are confident in working with language development and compensatory methods. Your good didactic and pedagogical skills enable you to lead and organize your work to create a quiet study environment and a positive learning atmosphere for the students throughout the school day. You also have the ability to use relevant digital tools effectively and keep yourself updated with evidence-based research to develop your work.
