Varagårdsskolan

Varagårdsskolan is a multicultural school for grades F-9 located in central Bjuv. The school has just over 500 students. Here, a competent and dedicated staff works with the students' best interests in mind.

For the school year 2026/2027, we are looking for a qualified teacher with a focus on work in the after-school center (fritidshem).

Job Responsibilities

In the role of a teacher at the after-school center at Varagårdsskolan, your main task will be working at the after-school center. The position also includes duties as a resource teacher in a class or in our special education group.

By planning, implementing, and following up on your teaching, you give students the opportunity to develop both socially and academically. You work to strengthen their creativity, curiosity, and self-esteem through activities such as play, creative projects, and movement.

Together with your colleagues, you plan and follow up on the after-school center activities based on your chosen pedagogical and didactic strategies and methods, adapted to the students' needs and prerequisites. You meet each student in their knowledge progression and contribute to developing learning environments that encourage student learning, participation, and influence.

It is important that you build a good relationship with students, guardians, and colleagues, characterized by mutual respect, a trust-based approach, and positive, high expectations.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with a focus on work in the after-school center. Experience working in an after-school center is meritorious.

You are expected to be well-versed in the school's and after-school center's governing documents and mission. You thrive in collaboration with colleagues and actively contribute to developing the activities in various ways. You have good structure in your work and can adapt teaching based on students' needs and the school's goals.

Your view of students is characterized by respect and a belief that all children can and want to develop. You have high expectations for the students and work actively to ensure they enjoy school and the after-school center.

As a person, you are highly engaged, responsible, and receptive. In your leadership, you are secure and clear. The job requires flexibility and a good ability to plan and prioritize your tasks. You need to be solution-oriented and have the ability to quickly handle unforeseen situations that may arise in daily operations.
