The Education Department is responsible for preschool, primary school, adapted primary school, upper secondary school, and adapted upper secondary school. The responsibility also covers student health, mother tongue instruction, school transport, and school meals. The Workplace

Between the plain and the sea, you will find the Principal Area Smyge/Klagstorp. Just outside Trelleborg in the countryside, our units include Smyge School, Klagstorp School, Smygehamn Preschool, and Klagstorp Preschool. The area is led by a principal together with two deputy principals, a kitchen manager, and an administrative manager. With high teacher qualifications, we help all children and students reach their full potential. Smyge School is located in the village of Smygehamn just east of Smygehuk, Sweden's southernmost tip. The school is a preschool to year 6 school with an associated after-school center. Approximately 220 students attend the school. The school actively works to develop each student according to their needs and abilities. Klagstorp School (preschool to year 6) is the small school with the big joy. Approximately 130 students attend the school. The school has students from preschool class up to year 6. The school has worked with the Green Flag for several years and has a conscious approach to our environment and the importance of daily movement. You are welcomed by a cheerful group with good cohesion and great engagement. We help each other when needed and are always close to laughter. Tasks

Clear goals, high expectations, and joy in work are obvious starting points for us. As a craft teacher, you will teach textile crafts at both Smyge and Klagstorp schools. As a teacher, you work closely with your colleagues, the student health team, and other staff at the school. You are responsible for planning, implementation, and follow-up of the pedagogical work based on the school's steering documents and the student's needs.

You create good cooperation with guardians and participate actively in the development work at the school. We actively work for good communication between school and home and regularly inform our students and guardians.

You see it as a natural part of your teaching duty to use digital tools, and you strive to develop your own and, above all, the students' digital competence in your daily routine. Since both you and the students have computers/chromebooks, and there is a projector in every classroom, there are opportunities to use modern pedagogy where technology supports student learning.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher with the qualification to teach textile crafts.

To thrive and function in the role of a craft teacher, it is of utmost importance that you are secure, stable, and have self-awareness. Furthermore, you are independent, initiative-taking, and goal-oriented. You see collegial learning as a prerequisite for student development and look forward to working together in teams, towards common goals, and with a focus on the students. We also want you to be accustomed to using digital tools.

As a person, you are development-oriented and have good communication skills. You have a great commitment to student learning and co-creation and are open to new thinking. You see the big picture and thrive in an environment that places high demands on flexibility and social competence. Your ability to interest, inspire, and engage is highly valued, as is your flexibility.
