Responsibilities
Do you want to make a real difference together with dedicated colleagues, keeping the student's best interests at the forefront? We are now looking for a flexible and driven teacher for our F–3 team at Söderkullan School.
The position is located in grade 2, where you will teach mathematics and English. As a teacher with us, you are part of a work team where you together plan, implement, and develop teaching. You are jointly responsible for the students' learning and well-being, creating teaching that meets every student's needs. Our starting point is that all students should be given the best possible conditions to succeed in a safe and trusting environment.
In your teaching, you challenge students to take their own initiative, develop their interests, and take responsibility for both their own learning and for each other. You have a clear student focus and work actively to strengthen both knowledge development and social development.
At Söderkullan School, you are offered stimulating work together with competent and dedicated colleagues. You collaborate not only within the work team but also with subject colleagues at the school, student health services, guardians, and external actors. We place great importance on good relationships and therefore expect you to have good communication skills.
The position also includes mentorship. As a mentor, you closely follow the students' knowledge development and personal growth, and play an important role in contacting guardians through, among other things, development conferences.
Qualifications
You, as an applicant, are a certified teacher with eligibility to teach in grades F–3. If you have previous experience in the teaching profession, we consider it an asset. It is also an asset if you have competence or education in Swedish as a Second Language (SVA).
You have very good language skills in Swedish, both spoken and written, and work consciously with language-developing methods in your teaching. You see language as a central part of all subjects and create opportunities for students to develop their thinking, conceptual understanding, and communicative ability.
You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and the ability to use them effectively and consciously in your daily work. Furthermore, you have good didactic and pedagogical skills, enabling you to lead and organize teaching so that study peace and a safe, accessible learning environment are created throughout the school day.
You continuously develop your work based on evidence-based research and are accustomed to working with digital tools and using data as support to plan, implement, and systematically evaluate your teaching.
Of course, you have a professional attitude and work actively to create good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues.
As a person, you are open, flexible, confident, and responsive, and you place great value on collaboration with colleagues.
We welcome your application!
