Job Responsibilities

At Mellanhedsskolan, we are looking for a teacher qualified to teach Mathematics, Natural Sciences (NO), and Technology in grades 4–6.

Your duties include planning, conducting, and assessing teaching. You will evaluate and develop pedagogical work based on the school's governing documents and the students' needs. You must be able to lead and organize your work to create a secure learning environment. Your teaching is modern and creative, and you find strategies to reach every student, strengthening them in both knowledge development and personal growth.

Qualifications

You are a certified teacher with qualifications for teaching grades 4–6 in Mathematics and Natural Sciences. Previous experience as a teacher is an advantage. You have good insight into and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can use them effectively in your daily work. You possess strong didactic and pedagogical skills and can organize your work to create a calm study environment and a good learning atmosphere. Based on evidence-based research, you develop your work and work efficiently with digital tools. As a person, you have a professional approach and work towards building good relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. To fit as a primary school teacher with us, it is important that you see collaboration and learning as paths to development, and that you enjoy being among students, both in and out of the classroom.

About the Workplace

Mellanhedsskolan is a large school unit with operations for grades F–9. Mellanheden 1 has operations for grades F–3, while Mellanheden 2 has operations for grades 4–9. The school is nicely situated with proximity to green areas and nature. Students and staff are organized into work teams where class teachers, leisure center teachers, and student assistants work together.
