Job Description

We are now looking for you, a primary school teacher for grades F-3, to join Monbijouskolan!

Your main responsibilities will be to serve as a teaching mentor in a team with joint responsibility for all students in the grade. You will teach students in grade 1, primarily in the subjects of Swedish, Mathematics, and Swedish as a Second Language, where you will educate and support students in their knowledge, social, and personal development. You will contribute to the development of the pedagogical activities in accordance with governing documents and the school's commitments. Together with colleagues, you will create a good learning environment and find strategies to reach and strengthen each student in their development. We see you as a clear leader in the classroom who creates good conditions for learning for all our students. You challenge students to take their own initiatives, develop their interests, and take responsibility for themselves and others. Furthermore, you will work on ongoing development efforts, where you, together with colleagues, actively work to establish and maintain a good learning and working environment for both students and staff at our school. Your focus is on creating the best conditions for each student in a safe and trusting environment.

Qualifications

You are a certified primary school teacher with eligibility for Swedish/Swedish as a Second Language and Mathematics for grades F-3. Experience working as a teacher is an advantage. You have good insight and knowledge of the school's governing documents and can apply them in daily work. Likewise, you have good knowledge of didactics and pedagogy and can lead and organize work to create study quiet and a good learning environment throughout the day. You develop your work based on evidence-based research and have good knowledge of digital tools.

We expect you to be a clear leader in the classroom, engaged, and responsible in your role. You are secure and stable, have the ability to build good, sustainable relationships with students, guardians, and colleagues. You view collective collaboration in learning as a success factor for developing teaching and student learning. We assume you have a positive view of students and high work ethics.

Monbijouskolan is a two-track F-6 school with 350 motivated and curious students. Most students are enrolled in our after-school center, which is organized by grade level for grades F-3 and by stage for grades 4-6. Monbijouskolan is the big little school in the heart of Malmö.
