to apply for the job
We are looking for an engaged and competent resource teacher who wants to support, motivate, and encourage students with NPF (Neurodevelopmental Disorders) diagnoses and intellectual disabilities in both schoolwork and social situations.
You will participate in the implementation of teaching and support students during breaks and at non-scheduled activities. Close collaboration with teachers is crucial to create an effective and supportive learning environment. You will also work at the after-school center and participate in KTT (Accessibility and Safety Conference) according to the curriculum's goals and individual implementation plans.
Your Background
To thrive with us, we believe you are driven and curious, with a strong desire to continue developing. You see challenges as opportunities rather than problems and have a high level of commitment to the students. You believe in every student's right to develop as far as possible. We believe you have an interest in building good relationships with both students and guardians, to best meet the students in their daily lives. We would appreciate experience working with children and young people with NPF diagnoses and intellectual disabilities, as well as knowledge of low-affective interaction and other work methods that support students' learning and social development.
Expectations
We value personal competence and are looking for someone who is independent, driven, and flexible with a solution-focused attitude. You should be curious, have good collaboration skills, and the ability to create and maintain relationships. It is important that you can be trustworthy and responsive to the students' needs.
The students have a social context in the class, but the majority of students require one-to-one instruction for most of the school day. The class team works in a team and rotates among all students in the class. The work requires great flexibility, as the students have significant individual needs and differing prerequisites. Your tasks include planning and conducting meaningful activities for the students during the school day. You are responsible for supervision and safety throughout the day. You actively participate in the student's goal achievement and in the work with non-scheduled activities, as well as collaborating with guardians in consultation with mentors.
As a person, you are unpretentious and believe in collaboration. Good and trusting relationships with management, colleagues, guardians, and students are important to you. You share our values: Forward, Together with Heart and Wisdom.
Qualifications
We are looking for you who want to work as a resource teacher and have a high school diploma in either the Child and Youth Care program, the Nursing program, or an assistant education via YH (University College of Vocational Education). We would appreciate that you have good computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
Great importance will be attached to personal suitability.
