Hovsjöskolan is now looking for a math teacher with the possibility of a lead teacher role

We actively work on developing learning strategies, with a special focus on improving teaching, strengthening follow-up, and developing assessment practices. We do this, among other things, by working in a co-teaching model with follow-up structures where we identify strengths and necessary interventions with a focus on always improving student learning.

Your responsibilities

You teach mathematics in grades 7–9 in a co-teaching model. As a teacher at Hovsjöskolan, you, together with the rest of the staff, are responsible for making the school day safe and meaningful for our students, where all students are everyone's students. You act positively, trustingly, and work relationally. You are responsible for planning, teaching, and assessment in mathematics. You work in close collaboration with the school's other math teachers and actively participate in our collegial learning meetings (KLM) based on the organization's needs.

As a person, you are structured, responsible, clear, and secure in your leadership. You create and maintain good relationships with both colleagues and students and guardians, inspire, and base your teaching on students' strengths. You have a belief that everyone can succeed with the right conditions and support.

Requirements:

• You are a qualified teacher with a teaching license in mathematics.
• We prefer that you have a few years of experience in teaching and/or working in a school, but newly graduated candidates are also welcome to apply.
• You are well acquainted with the steering documents and the school as an organization.
• You take responsibility and collaborate to develop teaching and results at our school.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing.
