About the Workplace

The Department of Children and Education works on behalf of the Preschool Board and the School Board. The department is responsible for preschool activities, school-age care, primary school, and adapted primary school. Our most important task is to give all children and students in Huddinge the opportunity to develop to their full potential in a secure educational environment. Workplace: Förskolan Stenbocken

Förskolan Stenbocken is a municipal preschool in Skogås, East Huddinge. We always start from the children's everyday life and world of experience. We use a project-based working method and utilize pedagogical documentation, which is a tool for making children's learning visible and continuously evaluating and developing the pedagogical activities.

The children's inherent drive and creativity are the core of our activities, and we believe that the differences among people give us more opportunities. The adults are co-researching educators whose task is to organize and plan based on what the children are interested in. The educators work to provide environments and materials that captivate, amaze, entertain, and puzzle the children.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher in Huddinge Municipality, you implement the preschool curriculum in your daily work, including through pedagogical documentation. Together with your colleagues, you create conditions for children's learning and development by supporting the individual child, challenging norms, and working actively against discrimination. In the role of a preschool teacher, care, upbringing, and learning form a whole. You have a positive approach, where the child is always in focus, and you treat everyone with care, kindness, and respect. You have the ability to see both the individual child's and the group's needs and, together with children and colleagues, create an environment that promotes quality, clarity, and structure.

You meet children and adults positively based on the preschool's value base. As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for actively leading, planning, and ensuring the quality of the daily work at the preschool. You must also systematically and continuously follow up and analyze the pedagogical activities in collaboration with other staff. Your responsibilities also include improving the quality of the preschool and thereby the child's opportunities for development and learning.

Here, you have the opportunity for regular planning and reflection time, as well as competence and development days.

Requirements and Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated and licensed as a preschool teacher. You work in a structured manner and use pedagogical documentation to analyze and reflect together with both colleagues and children. You have good IT skills and the ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.

As a person, you are secure and have the ability to feel trust and care. You are clear and receptive in your communication and accustomed to adapting your way of communicating to the current situation. You are positive and solution-focused, and have the ability to inspire and build good relationships with children, guardians, and colleagues. Through critical and analytical thinking, you see opportunities for how the preschool's goals can be developed. You have a situation-adapted working method, an egalitarian approach, and a desire to develop in your professional role.
