We are looking for an engaged, certified special needs teacher/special educator with high competence and experience in teaching various groups.

We are looking for you with drive and documented leadership qualities. You may become part of a student health team together with school nurses, school psychologists, study and career counselors, assistant principals, and principals.

Skarpatorpsskolan is located in the district of Skarpnäck and has approximately 540 students and 100 employees. Skarpatorpsskolan is a preschool class to grade 9 school located in the heart of Skarpnäck, close to both nature and the subway station.

Your role

We are looking for a special needs teacher for teaching in various groups, such as special education groups and individual instruction.

Together with your teaching colleagues, you conduct high-quality teaching, constantly test and develop methods, and work purposefully to develop students' learning and improve results.

Examples of other tasks:

• Observe, map, and plan interventions for individual students, groups, and classes
• Counsel/provide consultation to pedagogical staff regarding favorable physical learning environments and extra adjustments in teaching
• Map obstacles and success factors in the learning environment
• Provide students with alternative pedagogical tools for those who need them
• Contribute to creating general and practical adjustments in the learning environment at the individual and group level
• Provide support in establishing and evaluating action plans/extra adjustments and pedagogical mappings
• Write and evaluate USS (Special Needs Education) and action programs based on the principal's decisions
• Monitor students' goal achievement and the interventions made for students in need of extra adjustments and special support
• Coordinate pedagogical interventions for students in need of special support
• Review external investigations and coordinate interventions at the school
• Organize and conduct student health meetings with work teams, individual teachers, guardians, and external actors

Your competence and experience

We are looking for you who have a teacher certification as a special needs teacher and have good cooperation skills, are flexible, solution-focused, and proactive.

Teacher certification and eligibility for grades 4-9 in several subjects, with extra merit given for eligibility in mathematics and natural sciences.

A degree in special education is meritorious.

You lead and organize the work so that a secure learning environment based on mutual respect and cooperation is created.

You follow up, assess, communicate, and document the student's knowledge development and thereby support the student towards increasingly conscious learning.
