We are now looking for you who want to work as a teacher in physics, chemistry, biology, technology, and potentially mathematics at the lower secondary school level (grades 7-9).

Skarpatorpsskolan is located in the district of Skarpnäck and has a total of approximately 540 students and 100 employees. The school is divided into two buildings, one for the lower primary school and adapted primary school, and one for the middle and lower secondary school. The school has three parallel classes in the lower primary school and two parallel classes in the middle and lower secondary school.

Skarpatorpsskolan is located right next to the Skarpnäck metro station and has several bus lines from different parts of Stockholm. It is easy to get to the school.

What we offer

We are now looking for a teacher who is qualified in physics, chemistry, biology, technology, and potentially mathematics.

Qualifications in mathematics are an extra advantage.

The teachers have subject group meetings once a week where teaching and knowledge development are discussed. Topics covered include systematic quality work, equitable assessments, language-developing approaches, clarifying pedagogy, cooperative learning, and digital competence. Joint assessment is conducted at teacher meetings at least once a month.

Your role

You will teach physics, biology, chemistry, and technology at the lower secondary school level and be a mentor for a class.

Together with your subject colleagues, you will conduct high-quality teaching, constantly test and develop methods, and work purposefully to develop students' learning and raise results.

Your skills and experience

You have a teaching license.

You are qualified in physics, biology, chemistry, and technology for grades 7-9. Qualifications in mathematics are an extra advantage.

You have experience with assessment and quality teaching at the lower secondary level. You should have an exploratory approach in your teaching.

You master Swedish in speech and writing.

You are accustomed to working in various digital platforms such as Teams, DigiExam, etc.

Interviews will take place on an ongoing basis, and the position may be filled before the final application deadline.
