Torsvik School is one of Sweden's most successful primary schools. Founded in 1907, it is Lidingö's most centrally located primary school for grades F-9, with only a 15-minute commute from T-centralen. Proximity to public transport, the city center, and nature makes Torsvik School an exceptionally attractive workplace. The school welcomes approximately 800 students in grades F-9.

Job Description

Your task is to drive pedagogical development forward in your department together with your work team and contribute to a positive work environment filled with joy and energy. Together with your colleagues, you will create a leisure centre activity where students feel safe, have the opportunity to learn new things, and are inspired towards health and movement in various ways throughout the day.

Planned break activities utilizing our fantastic schoolyard and local surroundings are the responsibility of the leisure centre and are an important and appreciated part of the students' school day. We want to leverage everyone's competencies to create an inspiring breadth in planned activities. Outdoor movement activities and outdoor life are areas within the leisure centre activity that we want to develop further together with you. Lidingö Municipality is the island of health, and we hope that you, just like us, believe that your own health is important and are eager to communicate and inspire others to movement activities and time spent in nature.

Values-based work permeates the entire school, and we are all involved in this. The leisure centre has a significant and natural responsibility for planned values-based activities both in the classroom and in the leisure centre. Here, you will receive training in the conflict resolution method "Medling" (Mediation).

Collaboration between the school and the leisure centre is a success factor and something we cherish. As a teacher for the leisure centre, your competencies are important both in the classroom and within the leisure centre activities.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are educated as a teacher for the leisure centre, have a leisure pedagogy degree, or are a leisure leader. Furthermore, you are welcome to have experience working with a focus on outdoor life and outdoor activities, as this is an important part of our operations. Complementary education in areas such as outdoor life is meritorious, as is experience and willingness to work with digital tools.

Employment type: Permanent position.

The municipality applies individual salary setting. Start date according to agreement. The position is a full-time permanent position.
