About the Company

National Vocational Education (NY) is a post-secondary educational form that combines theory and practice to meet the needs of the labor market. The courses are developed in collaboration with industries and give students specialized competence for specific professional roles. With a strong connection to business life, the university college ensures that students are ready for working life directly after graduation.

Your Responsibilities

Ahead of the autumn semester, we are looking for an educator for courses included in the training for future ceiling installers (undertaksmontörer). It is preferable if you can teach all courses, but it may also be relevant for you if you want to teach individual courses. The following courses are included in the education:

• Introduction to the construction industry and the professional role of ceiling installer
• House Construction 1 – Basic building technology and construction process
• House Construction 2 – Advanced building technology and collaboration in the construction process
• Ceiling 1 – Materials, systems, and preparations for ceiling installation
• Ceiling 2 – Installation, system solutions, and quality assurance

The period of employment depends on which courses you are interested in teaching. If you are interested in all courses, the assignment runs from August 2026 to May 2027 with a scope of 50%. The students studying this education attend classes on-site at the school, either in Gothenburg or Malmö. However, for you, there is the possibility of distance education where you operate from Stockholm.

Your Profile

To be considered, you need to have a clear connection to the professional role that the education is aimed at and possess good pedagogical skills. For example, you might have good experience from the professional role of a ceiling installer, be a licensed vocational teacher in construction and civil engineering, or have other equivalent practical experience from the industry combined with good pedagogical skills. We welcome applicants with different backgrounds and experience. To succeed in the assignment, you need to possess good social and communicative skills. It is a great advantage if you have previously taught in adult education or have other pedagogical experience, but it is not a requirement. As an educator, your main tasks will be the development of course materials, conducting teaching, and follow-up work in the form of assessment and grading. In an educational assignment through us at the university college, you are employed as a consultant through us and hired out to the school. There is also the possibility for you who have your own company to invoice as a sub-consultant.
