Job Responsibilities

In the role of social worker, you will work with investigating, assessing, and meeting individual needs, and deciding on interventions based on the Social Services Act (SoL). We primarily work with individuals who have needs within social psychiatry and elderly care. You will also follow up on decisions made, where you need to have a holistic perspective and base your work on the individual's needs.

You work independently but also in close collaboration with colleagues, other professions, and operations both internally and externally. In your daily work, you have contact with the individual through visits, phone calls, and with relatives. In Karlshamn Municipality, we focus on collaboration to achieve quality for the individual.

Requirements for the position:

• University degree in Social Work or a behavioral science degree with a focus on social law.
• Category B driver's license.

Merits for the position:

• Experience working within social care and authority enforcement.
• Experience in investigating according to IBIC and/or experience working in the LifeCare operational system and the LINK collaboration system.

About the Workplace

The work group consists of 14 social workers within elderly care and social psychiatry, as well as 1 housing coordinator and unit manager. We sit and work together in central Karlshamn. We collaborate and have close cooperation with other professions such as unit managers, personnel within home care and supported housing, nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and other case workers within the municipality.
