Job Responsibilities

The Authority Office is the part of the Elderly Care Administration's combined operations that exercises authority based on the Social Services Act and the Act on Housing Adaptation. We are responsible for assessing assistance needs for municipal residents over 65, making decisions on housing adaptations, and handling investigations and fee administration for municipal residents regardless of age. Our work is characterized by meeting people with respect, enabling them to live an active and secure life while maintaining independence.

Working as an Assistance Case Manager at the Authority Office means you are responsible for investigating assistance needs, making assessments, and making decisions under the Social Services Act by delegation for persons over 65 years old. The role also includes participating in the planning and coordination of interventions, as well as collaborating both internally and externally with providers and other partners. Work and documentation take place in various systems, including Life Care and LINK. We base our assessments on the IBIC model. The work is focused on quality and legal certainty with the user in focus.

Qualifications

• Social work degree or other education deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Category B driver's license.
• Good proficiency in Swedish and computer skills.

We are looking for someone with good command of the Swedish language, both orally and in writing. This also implies good digital skills as high demands are placed on communication and documentation.

Meritorious:

• Good knowledge of legislation and application within the social services area (Social Services Act).
• Knowledge and experience of the LSS (Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) legislation.
• Advanced education in law, such as administrative law or the Social Services Act.
