SFI Teacher at Hjalmar Strömerskolan

Hjalmar Strömerskolan offers both upper secondary and adult education. We are now looking for an SFI teacher for our SFI instruction. The municipal adult education is part of Hjalmar Strömerskolan's operations and is conducted in Lärcentrum's premises. Other education within the upper secondary school's operations is conducted in adjacent premises and has over 250 students distributed across ten national programs.

Responsibilities

As an SFI teacher with us, you plan, conduct, and evaluate instruction in Swedish for immigrants according to the current curriculum. You meet students with different backgrounds, educational levels, and goals, which means you have great variation in your daily life.

Your main responsibilities:

• Conduct qualification-granting instruction within SFI (study path 1, 2, and 3).
• Adapt pedagogy and differentiate instruction based on students' individual prerequisites and needs.
• Continuously map, assess, and grade students' language development.
• Use digital tools and learning platforms as a natural part of instruction.
• Actively participate in the school's pedagogical development work and in the work team's meetings.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a certified teacher in Swedish as a Second Language.

• You are confident in your professional role, flexible, and responsible.
• You have the ability to create and maintain good relationships.
• You have good knowledge of NPD (Neurodevelopmental Disorders).
• You are proactive and develop the school's learning environments with a focus on supporting students' knowledge and learning.
