Östersund Municipality, Department of Children and Education, is looking for Support Staff for Jägarvallen Preschool, 85 - 100%. Start date: August 17th or by agreement until December 23, 2026.

Job Description

We are looking for you who, together with us, want to continue making our preschool even better!

Jägarvallen is a preschool with space for 108 children. Our preschool is an inspiring workplace where we put the child at the center. We work in a process-oriented manner to make children's learning visible and use pedagogical documentation as a tool. We start from the premise that all children can and want to, and that they get to be in a context where they have the opportunity to use and develop their competence.

We work strongly with collaboration and everyone's opportunity to participate, both children and educators. The preschool's learning environments are important; they are changeable and open and contribute to a joyful and challenging education.

You are expected to develop trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. Through joint collegial reflections, we meet each other's thoughts and grow in our profession.

For us, it is important that you, who want to work as a childcare worker with us, feel curiosity about your assignment.

Qualifications

Requirements

• We prefer that you are trained as a childcare worker.
• Good knowledge of Swedish in both speech and writing.

Merits

• It is meritorious if you have previous professional experience.
• Knowledge of the preschool's steering documents and the ability to implement them in daily work.
• Computer skills.

You have a natural ability to build good relationships with both children, colleagues, and guardians, and you see collaboration as an important part of the pedagogical work.

As a co-researching educator, you meet the children's curiosity with engagement and a desire to explore together. You are flexible, proactive, and secure in your work, and you contribute to driving the operations forward and creating a safe, fun, and educational everyday life. With good judgment and a reflective approach, you make wise decisions in daily work and contribute to positive development for both children and the work team.

We offer you further education and competence development as well as support from special needs pedagogues.

Interviews may take place on an ongoing basis. We want you to attach a CV and a cover letter to your application. Grades/certificates do not need to be sent with it. We ask you to complete this if an interview becomes relevant.
