Experienced Business Developer

The Support Management Department is located within the Citizen Services business area, where operations are conducted across 122 service offices. The support management function is responsible for, among other things, coordinating business monitoring, business development, projects, system support, internal communication, and competence development initiatives within the business area. It also coordinates bilateral collaboration with the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the Swedish Migration Agency, the Swedish Pensions Agency, and the Swedish Tax Agency. The department has 22 employees and is divided into two units: the Business Control Unit and the Development and Coordination Unit. The Business Control Unit includes project managers, analysts, and business developers, while the Development and Coordination Unit comprises business developers, project managers, and administrators.

The Business Control Unit is responsible for issues such as AI, business presence, welfare crime, digital inclusion, international coordination, environmental scanning and analysis, as well as overarching strategies within the business area. We are now looking for an experienced Business Developer who wants to contribute to the transformation outlined in our strategic plan extending to 2030. The plan covers four development areas: our mission, business presence, equipment and development, and our employees. Main Responsibilities

As a Business Developer within the service office operations, you lead and drive assignments, projects, or feasibility studies aimed at developing local state services. The assignments are largely business-related but may occasionally involve IT and technology development. You will work closely with the business operations, other business developers, project managers, analysts, and administrative managers in the department, as well as in close collaboration with support and management functions within the agency, our partner agencies, and occasionally other external stakeholders. If you lead projects, this is done according to the PPS project management model.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who have:

• A relevant academic degree or equivalent education deemed relevant by the employer for the position
• At least five years of experience as a Business Developer in public sector operations or in customer-facing organizations
• Experience as a project manager, feasibility study leader, or assignment leader
• Experience working cross-functionally, close to business operations, and with a holistic perspective
• Experience collaborating with other agencies or organizations with different goals
• Competence in needs assessment, requirement specification, as well as benefit calculation and realization
• Experience in change management

Furthermore, you should possess the following skills:

• Be proactive and results-oriented
• Create good collaboration with both internal and external parties
• Be able to communicate information clearly so that others understand
• Be able to handle, and be stimulated by, having many different contact surfaces
• Be structured and able to quickly familiarize yourself with new issues
• Have good leadership qualities and be able to inspire engagement in others

It is meritorious if you have:

• Experience using AI tools to optimize operations
• Competence in environmental scanning and analysis
• Experience working at a government agency

The position is full-time (100%) and permanent.

We typically apply a six-month probationary period.

Start date according to agreement.
