The Education Administration is one of Mjölby Municipality's six administrations and is responsible for preschools, primary schools, upper secondary schools, adapted primary and upper secondary schools, and adult education. With approximately 1,000 employees, we offer education that promotes all children and students in lifelong learning, working according to the direction "high knowledge results in a school where everyone can and wants to be." We place great emphasis on working close to operations through regular dialogue and support for school leaders and teachers based on the chain of command.

Tunet and Prästgårdsliden are two preschools located in central Mjölby. Our premises and playgrounds offer excellent opportunities to adapt learning environments both indoors and outdoors. Both preschools have four departments, and we work with age-segregated groups. The preschools are enriched with many different cultures and languages. Both preschools have on-site kitchens.

The preschool activities have good access to special educational needs support as well as support from a preschool psychologist.

Our preschool operations are based on three main pillars:

• Play is central to our teaching in all of the municipality's preschools.
• All preschools have language as a priority goal, and we work with a language-developing approach that we have developed together with the preschool's special educators.
• Together with the preschool psychologist, we work to make our teaching and operations as predictable as possible.

On our unit, we also have Health as a priority area.

Job Responsibilities

As a preschool teacher, you are responsible for the teaching together with your colleagues to ensure the children receive the best possible education. You ensure that the curriculum is included in both planning, execution, and evaluation, and that this forms a whole in the operations consisting of care, development, and learning.

You see opportunities in both planned teaching and spontaneous activities, where everyday activities and routines in the preschool become a natural and important part of the teaching.

You also contribute to developing the pedagogical content, structures, and our organization to create the best possible operations. You see the importance of children's participation and how you can awaken curiosity and interest.

Qualifications

A preschool teacher license is required, but we see the mix of experienced preschool teachers with long professional experience and preschool teachers who have recently completed their education as important. When new education meets professional experience, development is at its best.

You have the ability to lead and motivate your colleagues as well as set goals and direction for the operations. You have the ability to delegate tasks and provide advice, support, and opportunities for your colleagues' development. You see it as a given that even if you can work independently, collaboration within the work team and the preschool is a prerequisite for good quality. You see the strengths of both children and colleagues!

You have the ability to plan and organize your work together with your colleagues. You easily set goals, organize resources, follow up, and conclude activities.

You join the preschools with good collaboration skills, where we have fun at work by being professional in our mission and collaborating across the entire unit.
