The ERK Foundation is an independent governing body for the Swedish-Finnish School (grades F-6) and the preschool Pikku-Erkki. The foundation was established in 1993, and the operations are bilingual and non-profit.

Both operations are located at Vasbergsgatan 5 in Eskilstuna, in a beautiful, centrally located, and historic school building. There are approximately 110 children enrolled in the operations (preschool and school) and around 25 staff members. The foundation's task is to preserve and develop Swedish-Finnish culture alongside a high level in both the Swedish and Finnish languages. The goal is to teach children and students Finnish and Swedish at a level that enables active bilingualism and supports their Swedish-Finnish identity development.

Teacher of Finnish

We can offer employment ranging from 30% to 60%.

Job Description

• Subject planning and teaching.
• Collaboration with other teachers, student health services, and mentors.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone who can teach Grade 1 in Swedish, Finnish, and Mathematics. You must be confident in teaching in both Finnish and Swedish.

Please note that non-certified teachers may be offered a term-year appointment upon hiring.
