The ERK Foundation is the independent governing body for the Swedish-Finnish School (grades F-6) and the preschool Pikku-Erkki. Founded in 1993, the organization operates as a bilingual, non-profit entity.

Both activities are located at Vasbergsgatan 5 in Eskilstuna, in a beautiful, centrally located, historic school building. Together, we have approximately 110 enrolled children (preschool and school) and about 25 staff members. The Foundation's mission is to preserve and develop Swedish-Finnish culture while maintaining a high standard in both Swedish and Finnish. Our goal is to equip children and students with the skills for active bilingualism and to support their Swedish-Finnish identity development.

We are now looking for

Teachers in Swedish, Finnish, and Mathematics for lower secondary school (grades 1-3).

For the right candidate, we can offer a position ranging from 50% to 100% (full-time).

Job Description

• Subject planning and teaching.
• Collaboration with other teachers, student health services, and mentors.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who can teach grade 1 in Swedish, Finnish, and Mathematics. You need to be confident in teaching in both Finnish and Swedish.

If you are a teacher without formal qualifications, we can offer a term appointment upon hiring.

Meritorious:

Our working and teaching languages are both Swedish and Finnish.

Start date: August 6, 2026, or by agreement.

According to the Swedish Education Act (2010:800), a certificate of conduct from the Swedish Police Authority is required prior to employment.

We are conducting ongoing interviews during the application period. This is a permanent position with a 6-month probationary period.
