Within the Education and Labour Market Administration, we have preschool, compulsory school, adapted compulsory school, upper secondary school, adapted upper secondary school, reception unit for newly arrived students, municipal activity responsibility, adult education, cultural school, technical school, central child and student health, labour market unit, and Campus for higher studies.

Adult Education (Komvux) in Katrineholm Municipality plays an active role in promoting local and regional competence supply by offering flexible and individually tailored education based on the labour market and the needs of the municipality's residents. Komvux offers, among other things, Swedish for Immigrants (SFI), basic and upper secondary education, adapted education for adults, vocational training, and societal orientation for some newly arrived individuals.

WORK RESPONSIBILITIES

In this role, you are responsible for planning, implementing, and following up on teaching based on current regulatory documents. You adapt the teaching to the students' needs, prerequisites, and goals, as well as documenting and assessing their knowledge development. The teaching is characterized by a clarifying pedagogical approach where you use learning tools in a purposeful and creative manner. Digital tools such as computers and iPads are a natural part of the teaching and are used to support students' learning and development.

You collaborate closely with colleagues in the work team regarding planning, development, and quality work within the operations. The work also involves participation in joint processes regarding admissions and scheduling, as well as an active contribution to collegial learning and pedagogical development. The position also includes collaborating with the students' network, such as support persons, employers, and other external actors. You work to create a secure, inclusive, and motivating learning environment where students' independence, participation, and development in everyday contexts are promoted.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Special Teacher's Degree with a focus on intellectual disability (Required)
• Teacher's Degree with a license in Language (Required)
• Documented experience working with the target group (meritorious)
• High digital competence (meritorious)
• High competence in using alternative and augmentative communication in daily teaching (meritorious)
• Experience in following up and evaluating teaching and adaptations (meritorious)
• Experience from adult education (meritorious)
