We are now looking for a qualified mathematics teacher for grades 7-9 at Stenhammarskolan.

HERE ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Stenhammarskolan – a preschool to grade 9 school where the heart beats for the students, with knowledge and development in focus – has approximately 650 students and is centrally located in Flen. Here, we see differences as a strength and diversity as an asset for both students and staff. Our school should be a safe, inclusive, and inspiring place where everyone has the opportunity to develop, both academically and socially.

As a mathematics teacher in the lower secondary school, you are responsible for teaching mathematics. You plan and conduct lessons that spark students' interest and help them understand the world of mathematics. You adapt the teaching to students' different needs and prerequisites, and create a learning environment where everyone feels seen and motivated. Through varied methods – such as problem-solving, games, digital tools, and practical exercises – you make mathematics alive and understandable for the students.

As a teacher at Stenhammarskolan, you are part of a professional team where collaboration and collegial learning are in focus. You actively contribute to the school's systematic quality work, participate in meetings and training, and work together with your colleagues to develop the teaching. Through your engagement and solution-oriented attitude, you help create a school where both students and staff thrive and develop.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:

• Teacher certification with qualification in mathematics for grades 7–9.
• Ability to plan, conduct, and evaluate teaching according to the Swedish National Curriculum (Lgr22) with clear goals and assessment.
• Ability to use digital tools in teaching.
• Good knowledge of steering documents, grading, and assessment.

WE VALUE THE FOLLOWING HIGHLY:

• Experience with language-developing methods in mathematics teaching.

About the position:

• Scope: Full-time, permanent (probation may apply).
• Start date: By agreement.
• Salary: Individual salary setting.
