We are now looking for a qualified Science teacher (Chemistry/Physics) for grades 7–9 at Stenhammarskolan.

HERE ARE YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Stenhammarskolan – a preschool–grade 9 school where the heart beats for the students, with knowledge and development in focus – has approximately 650 students and is centrally located in Flen. Here, we see differences as a strength and diversity as an asset for both students and staff. Our school should be a safe, inclusive, and inspiring place where everyone has the opportunity to develop, both academically and socially.

As a Science teacher at Stenhammarskolan, you are an important part of our work to create meaningful and engaging teaching in physics and chemistry. Your role involves planning, implementing, and evaluating lessons that spark students' curiosity and desire to learn. You work based on the curriculum and create clear pedagogical plans that are communicated to both students and guardians, so everyone knows what is expected.

In the classroom, you are a clear and inspiring leader who creates a learning environment where every student feels seen and motivated. You adapt teaching to students' different needs and prerequisites, using varied methods – from laboratories and experiments to discussions and digital tools – to strengthen both knowledge development and motivation. Your teaching is characterized by confidence in students' abilities and a desire to challenge them to reach as far as possible.

As a teacher at Stenhammarskolan, you are also part of a professional team where collaboration and collegial learning are in focus. You actively contribute to the school's systematic quality work, participate in meetings and training, and work together with your colleagues to develop teaching and create a positive work environment. Through your engagement and solution-oriented attitude, you help build a school where both students and staff thrive and develop.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE:

• Teacher certification with eligibility in Science subjects for grades 7–9.
• Ability to plan, implement, and evaluate teaching according to Lgr22 with clear goals and assessment.
• Ability to use digital tools in teaching.
• Good knowledge of regulatory documents, grades, and assessment.

WE VALUE THE FOLLOWING HIGHLY:

• Experience with language-developing methods in Science teaching.

About the position:

• Scope: Full-time, permanent (probation may apply).
• Start date: As agreed.
• Salary: Individual salary setting.
