SJR is now appointing an Interim Financial Controller for our client, an international company with offices in Danderyd. This is a full-time consultancy assignment starting on September 1st, initially for 12 months. We offer a hybrid working model where you are expected to work on-site at the office 50% of the week.

For this assignment, we are looking for you who wish to take employment as a consultant or work as a sub-consultant with us.

About the role

You will become part of the Finance Team and report directly to the Finance Manager. In this role, you will work both operationally and analytically with accounting, follow-up, and business support. You are responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in accordance with current regulations, while simultaneously supporting the organization with analyses and decision-making materials. The role also involves close collaboration with the Business Controller, where you contribute to budget, forecast, and follow-up processes, as well as actively working with cost control and improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Ongoing accounting and closing (monthly and annual accounts, IFRS)
• Reconciliations, inventory management, and revenue recognition
• Financial reporting and key figure analysis
• Budgeting, forecasting, and follow-up work
• Support to the business in economic matters
• Cash flow planning and customer analysis
• Drive improvement and efficiency initiatives
• Collaboration with auditors and internal functions

Suitable background

We are looking for you who have an academic degree in economics and at least five years of experience in accounting and controlling. You have a broad economic understanding and are accustomed to working both operationally and analytically. Experience from manufacturing companies is meritorious, as is a background in auditing or qualified accounting. You have good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Furthermore, you are comfortable with systems, work effortlessly in Excel, and preferably have experience with ERP systems, such as SAP. If you also have an interest in digitalization, automation, and system development, we see this as a significant plus.

To succeed in the role, you are a structured and self-reliant person with strong analytical skills. You enjoy taking responsibility and have a meticulous work style while being able to look up and see the big picture. You are solution-oriented and have a natural drive to improve processes and ways of working. Since the role involves many contact surfaces, you are communicative and find it easy to collaborate with different functions in the organization. You are unpretentious, engaged, and contribute with a positive attitude to the team.
