About the role

As Legal Counsel at Lendo Group, you will become part of our group-wide legal and compliance function. You will work closely with the business and support the entire Lendo Group, which implies a broad scope of responsibility across several jurisdictions. The position is based at our office in Stockholm, and you will report to the Head of Legal and Compliance.

In the role of Legal Counsel, you will, for example:

  • Work with a broad spectrum of legal issues – from strategic advice to operational support throughout the Lendo Group,

  • Handle and review commercial agreements and support negotiations,

  • Contribute to regulatory compliance,

  • Manage internal guidelines and procedures,

  • Monitor and implement regulatory changes within areas such as consumer law, financial regulation, and GDPR, and

  • Support various business initiatives and strategic projects, often in close collaboration with other functions such as product, tech, and marketing.

We are looking for someone who has:
  • A law degree from a university in Sweden (LL.M.)

  • At least three years of relevant experience in legal work, preferably from a law firm or as an in-house counsel

  • Experience working with law in a business-oriented context

  • Good communication skills in Swedish and English

It is an advantage if you have:

  • Experience working at or with banks and credit market companies, or other financially regulated activities

  • Experience working with credit, AML/CTF, GDPR, and insurance distribution

  • Experience using technical support in legal work, e.g., AI tools
