Financial Analyst / Controller for Södertälje Municipality
Do you want to work in a strategic and operationally close role where you can contribute with analysis, follow-up, and financial control in a socially important organization? We are now looking for a Financial Analyst/Controller for Södertälje Municipality.
About the Role
In the role of Financial Analyst/Controller, you work closely with the operations and support managers and projects with budgeting, follow-up, and financial analysis. You contribute to ensuring sound financial management and develop processes for planning and follow-up.
You will become part of an engaged team where you work together to achieve the organization's goals and create long-term value. The role involves significant personal responsibility and good opportunities to influence working methods and development.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare budgets, forecasts, and financial follow-ups
- Analyze financial results and identify deviations
- Prepare reports and decision support materials for management
- Participate in closing processes and period-end activities
- Support operations with financial matters
- Contribute to the development and improvement of financial processes
Requirements
- University degree in Economics or equivalent
- Experience with budgeting, follow-up, and forecasting in a large organization
- Good knowledge of accounting
- Very good skills in Excel and the rest of the Office suite
- Experience with financial systems (e.g., UBW/Agresso, Raindance, or Visma)
- Very good command of Swedish (both written and spoken) and good English
- Experience working in the public sector
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience from municipal operations
- Experience with project reporting and external funding (e.g., Tillväxtverket, ESF, Vinnova)
- Experience in developing financial control models and processes
- Experience working in complex organizations
