We are now looking for an engaged and analytical economist for MatLust Development Node in Södertälje, an exciting consulting assignment where you will work closely with project management and contribute to real societal development.

About the role

As an economist at MatLust, you will become a key person in a dynamic project team. You are responsible for ensuring that the economy is handled correctly in complex projects financed by, among others, the EU, state, and regional actors.

In the role, you will work both operationally and analytically with:

• Budgeting, forecasting, and project follow-up
• Economic reporting to funders
• Analysis of budget outcomes and costs
• Communication of economic status to project management and steering groups
• Ongoing reporting and administrative tasks such as invoice processing and archiving

This is a consulting role where you get to combine structure, analysis, and collaboration in a business that makes a difference.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who thrive in a role with significant personal responsibility and who have experience working with economics in a project environment. You are accustomed to handling complex regulations and enjoy creating structure in a dynamic business.

Requirements

• University degree in economics
• Experience working in the public sector
• Experience in economic work in larger organizations
• Good knowledge of economic systems (preferably Unit4 ERP/Agresso)
• Experience with budgeting, follow-up, and analysis
• Very good knowledge of Swedish and good English
