Our educational activities are located in our three urban areas: Ramnäs, Virsbo, and Surahammar. These include preschool, preschool class, comprehensive school, adapted comprehensive school, after-school centers, and youth clubs.

Virsboskolan is a newly renovated, development-oriented, and pleasant school located in Virsbo. It consists of a preschool class, comprehensive school for grades 1-6, and an after-school center with approximately 80 students. We work to ensure that students reach their goals and realize their future dreams.

Job Responsibilities

As a Special Educator, you are a support in the school's preventive and health-promoting work. You are part of the student health team and collaborate with teachers in identifying students' needs. You follow up on assessments conducted in different classes and work in a team together with the school's other teachers. You teach students in groups and individually, based on each student's individual needs, development, opportunities, and prerequisites.

You will work closely with the teaching teams at the school. Additionally, you will collaborate with colleagues for the development of the student, the group, and the school. The position involves employment as a special educator in Surahammar Municipality and will initially be located at Virsboskolan, which is a preschool to grade 6 school in Surahammar Municipality.

Qualifications

You have a teacher's license with eligibility to teach in the earlier years of comprehensive school. You are educated or currently studying to become a special educator.

You have the ability to build connections and work well with other people. You listen, communicate, and resolve conflicts constructively while creating engagement and participation. To map and understand students' various needs, you must have good analytical and pedagogical skills.

As a teacher, you adapt the teaching based on each student's unique prerequisites and view school development as a natural part of the teaching profession. By clarifying goals and knowledge requirements for students, you can motivate them to achieve good results in their schoolwork. In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a certificate of residence together with an ID document.
