Your responsibilities

As a special educator/special teacher at Norra Vallby School, you work actively to create accessible and inclusive learning environments. With your expertise, you contribute to the school's development through preventive measures and systematic support for students and staff. Your main tasks include mapping students' needs, participating in the preparation of investigations regarding special support, and being responsible for developing, following up, and evaluating action plans. You conduct special education both individually and in small groups, while also offering support and guidance to work teams and teachers through coaching conversations.

The role also involves close collaboration within the school's student health team, where you, together with a counselor, school nurse, psychologist, and leisure coordinator, drive a unified student health service. Together, you regularly work with promoting and preventive measures, address current student cases, and collaborate closely with the school's teachers and management. Building good relationships and collaborating with guardians as well as external professionals is an important part of the assignment to ensure that every student receives the support needed to reach their full potential.

Your qualifications

Student health work is a prioritized and obvious part of the role for you, and you have strong confidence in each student's will and ability to succeed. You have a good understanding of people's different prerequisites and adapt your approach to each student's unique needs. You work proactively and together with others to create a safe and inclusive school environment, and enjoy mentoring and coaching colleagues to strengthen their professional development.

You are accustomed to documenting in journal systems, such as Prorenata or similar. Your educational background is that of a certified teacher, and you have a degree as a special educator or special teacher.

Before you can be employed, you need to show a clean extract from the police's criminal record.

In connection with the interview, you need to prove your citizenship. You can do this with a passport or alternatively a certificate of residence together with an ID document. If you are not a citizen of Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must show that you have a valid work permit or are exempt from the obligation to have a work permit. Employment can only take place after verification of the work permit, which is required according to the Alien Ordinance.
