Kunskapsskolan Västerås is looking for a certified teacher in Physical Education and Health for grades 4-9

Kunskapsskolan Västerås is a primary school for grades 4-9 and currently has approximately 530 students. The school started in 2001 and is among the upper secondary schools with the highest merit value in Västmanland. The waiting lists for students are long, which is proof that the school has a good reputation. We have ambitious, skilled teachers, and we are a school where we are passionate about the students.

In order for every student to reach as far as possible, we need professional teachers with a strong commitment to the student. At Kunskapsskolan, we always put the individual at the center, and we are therefore looking for you who always work actively to ensure your students succeed. In addition to being a subject teacher, you are also a personal mentor to about twenty students, and you have an individual mentoring conversation with each of your students every week. You help them plan and set goals for their studies and follow up on the goals together with both the students and their guardians.

At Kunskapsskolan, we have a pronounced teamwork culture. You are never alone with challenges and issues. We help each other plan work in working groups and subject teams. There is great openness between teachers, and we share a common responsibility for our students.

To facilitate your work and enable you to focus your time on the students, we have collected a large part of our teaching materials on our digital portal, Kunskapsporten. For each subject, there are suggestions for working methods, tasks, and teaching materials.

Qualifications

We are looking for a certified teacher in Physical Education and Health for grades 4-9. You should be well-versed in LGR-22 and formative assessment.

Desirable qualifications

We would appreciate it if you have a few years of experience in teaching and mentoring or mentorship. We want you to be easy to collaborate with colleagues, students, and guardians, and to be solution-focused.
