Working as a personal assistant is a unique opportunity

Working as an assistant within the LSS (Act concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) here means a calmer work environment with less stress and more time for presence. Job Responsibilities

As a summer substitute in personal assistance, you will work with providing care and support in various life situations, both at home and during activities outside. The work is varied and tasks may include pedagogical support in daily life, personal care, and help with household chores such as laundry and cooking. The individuals have varying disabilities, meaning their need for support varies. As an assistant, you play a major role in creating a meaningful daily life and contribute to well-being and independence.

Examples of what is included in the job responsibilities:

• Helping the user with daily routines.
• Supporting communication and social situations.
• Creating safety and clear structure in the day.
• Light household chores (e.g., cleaning, laundry, simple cooking).
• Accompanying on activities, walks, or excursions.
• Motivating and supporting training, hobbies, or sensory-stimulating activities.
• Personal care (varies based on the user's needs).
• Being a calm, safe, and attentive support.
• Keeping simple, clear documentation according to routines.
• Collaborating with colleagues, relatives, or the team as needed.

Within the department, there are also services within short-term supervision, short-term housing, escorting, and relief work, where there is also a need for substitutes.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who:

• Are 18 years of age or older.
• Have good command of the Swedish language, both spoken and written.
• Have good computer skills.

It is an advantage if you:

• Are educated in, or currently studying to become, a support assistant, support teacher, childcare worker, or other equivalent education.
• Have experience working with the current target group, or have several years of work experience in another profession.
