We are looking for a preschool teacher (100%) starting August 17, 2026, or as agreed.

Storfjället is a newly built preschool in Torvalla that opened in January 2025. The preschool has seven departments, six of which have mixed-age groups and one department for the oldest children. We have a fantastic outdoor environment divided into different zones to inspire and challenge the children based on their interests and maturity. Adjacent to the preschool, you will find forests, nature, ski tracks, and nice walking paths. Your future colleagues are experienced, competent, and dedicated. Our priority focus areas are successful teaching through play and interaction, language-developing approaches, and leadership at all levels. The goals and focus areas we have chosen are synchronized with Östersund Municipality's keywords for preschools: The preschool should be fun, secure, educational, and equal for all children.

Your new job

We are looking for you who are a qualified preschool teacher for the Storfjället preschool.

You will be part of a team where you together plan and are responsible for the children's education and development. We operate from the belief that all children can and want to, and that they get to be in a context where they have the opportunity to use and develop their competence. You should work actively to create a well-balanced and developmental education for the children according to Lpfö 18. You are expected to develop trusting relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. You create curiosity and the desire to learn during planned activities but also in spontaneous moments. As part of our team, you will have the opportunity to contribute to a creative and inspiring atmosphere where the children thrive and develop.

Common tasks

• Plan and carry out activities based on the curriculum.
• Develop pedagogical content that inspires development and learning, while stimulating and challenging the children's interest, curiosity, and attention.
• Offer each child secure care and promote the development and learning of all children.
• Create learning opportunities based on the children's needs and interests, so that all children can develop based on their abilities and conditions.

As a preschool teacher, you will work together with your colleagues to plan, teach, document, and evaluate the content of the activity.

Your competence

Requirements

• Educated and licensed preschool teacher.
• You have good knowledge of Swedish, both in speech and writing.
• You have good knowledge of the school's regulatory documents and can translate these into daily work.

You have a good understanding of people's differences and relate to them in a listening and flexible way in teaching and the daily life of the preschool. You create good relationships and collaborate well with the contacts that occur in your professional role.

How the recruitment process works
