Hjortsbergaskolan

Hjortsbergaskolan is a school for grades F-6 with an after-school center. The school is located in the Hjortsberga community, approximately 1 mile from the town of Alvesta. We have the lake close by, and our catchment area includes the Hjortsberga community and surrounding villages. Approximately 85% of the students use school buses. Hjortsbergaskolan aims, in collaboration with guardians, to develop active, creative, competent, and responsible individuals. We strive to be a school where every student is given the opportunity to develop their own abilities, with the best conditions for motivation to learn, a safe place, good structure, and high expectations.

Responsibilities

As a resource pedagogue, you will help students who need a little extra support during the school day. This may involve teaching in the classroom, but also during recess when it can sometimes be difficult for students to participate in recess activities. It may also involve some time at the after-school center.

At Hjortsbergaskolan, you will work together with skilled colleagues who always support each other. We, including students, teachers, after-school staff, student assistants, and the principal, are looking for you who are driven and have broad competence. You care about the students and are interested in adapting the teaching so that it is at an appropriate level. For us, it is important that you want to have close cooperation with us who work at the school.

Qualifications

It is an advantage if you have pedagogical education or are trained as a social pedagogue. We want you primarily to be able to communicate with the students and meet their needs and conditions. The work includes some documentation, and you will also be in contact with guardians. Previous experience working with children and feeling confident in ensuring development towards set goals is desirable.

We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We value good cooperation skills as well as personal drive. You should be social and have an easy time building good relationships with children, parents, and colleagues. You should be structured, clear, and consistent, able to take initiative, and possess a large portion of engagement and flexibility.
