Hjortsbergaskolan

Hjortsbergaskolan is a school for grades F-6 with an after-school center (fritidshem). The school is located in the Hjortsberga community, approximately 1 mile from the town of Alvesta. We have the lake right on our doorstep, and our catchment area includes the Hjortsberga community and the surrounding villages. Approximately 85% of the students use school transport. Hjortsbergaskolan aims, in collaboration with guardians, to develop active, creative, competent, and responsible individuals. We strive to be a school where every student is given the opportunity to develop their own abilities, where we create the best conditions to motivate students to learn, and where they are offered a safe place with good structure and high expectations.

Job Responsibilities

As a resource pedagogue, you will help students who need a little extra support during the school day. This may involve teaching in the classroom, but also during breaks when it can sometimes be difficult for students to participate in break-time activities. It may also involve some time at the after-school center.

At Hjortsbergaskolan, you will work alongside skilled colleagues who always support each other. We – students, teachers, after-school staff, student assistants, and the principal – are looking for you who are driven and have broad competence. We care about the students and are interested in adapting teaching so that it is at an appropriate level. For all of us, it is important that you want to have close collaboration with us who work at the school.

Qualifications

It is an advantage if you have pedagogical education or are trained as a social pedagogue. We want you primarily to be able to communicate with the students and meet their needs and conditions. The work includes some documentation, and you will also be in contact with guardians. We are looking for someone with previous experience working with children and who feels confident in ensuring development towards set goals. We place great emphasis on personal suitability.
